About the challenge
We’re bringing together innovators, builders, and problem-solvers for a weekend-long hackathon where you’ll take an idea from concept to working prototype in just 3 days. Industry experts from real estate, construction, permitting, non-profits, and more will present real-world challenges from their fields. Your mission: use AI to design bold, practical solutions that can make a real impact.
Get started
Spark innovation in Muslim-centered sectors Build real prototypes with real-world impact Foster community collaboration between students, professionals, and entrepreneurs Create a pipeline of ideas that can grow into startupsRequirements
What to Build
Participants will design and prototype AI-powered solutions that address real-world challenges in underserved and low-tech industries.
Projects can include (but aren’t limited to):
-
Tools that streamline real estate & construction processes (permitting, inspections, project planning)
-
Education platforms that deliver personalized, accessible learning experiences in low-resource settings
-
Legal assistance bots that simplify complex documents and make guidance more affordable
-
Automotive solutions that empower mechanics and drivers with smarter diagnostics and maintenance support
-
Nonprofit tools that help organizations manage donors, volunteers, and impact reporting efficiently
We encourage projects that are:
-
Practical: deployable in real-world, low-tech environments (mobile-first, SMS-based, offline-ready)
-
Impact-driven: addressing underserved communities and overlooked industries
-
Scalable: prototypes that could grow into startups or long-term community tools
In short: build anything AI-powered that solves a meaningful problem in an overlooked industry.
